German harvesting specialist Claas, based in Harsewinkel, is a relative newcomer to the tractor market, having acquired a majority stake in Renault Agriculture in 2003 before eventually taking 100 per cent control of the Renault tractor business in 2008. Its tractor line-up currently includes the Xerion systems tractor plus Arion, Axion, Axos tractors from 75p up to 524hp.
The firm also builds Elios and Nexos compact and orchard tractor ranges. This family-owned business is famed for its combine and forage harvester business and continues to operate three harvest centres throughout the UK in addition to having 14 manufacturing plants located throughout the world and a series of dealers throughout the UK.
The world-renowned Jaguar self-propelled forage harvesters, Lexion and Tucano combine harvester series plus Cougar self-propelled mower outfits reinforce Claas' commitment to harvesting technology.
